Choosing between a soft vs medium soft pillow depends on how you prefer your head to sink. Both the JOLLYVOGUE and Coop Home Goods Eden options provide gentle support for side, stomach, and back sleepers. They share cooling features and queen sizing. The main difference lies in their fill. One uses plush micro polyester fiber for a cloud-like feel. The other blends gel-infused memory foam with microfiber for adjustable loft. This change affects how you customize your sleep height.

Soft vs Medium Soft Pillow Specs
Firmness Level
The JOLLYVOGUE pillow is explicitly rated as Soft, offering a plush, sink-in feel that provides gentle cushioning for side, stomach, and back sleepers. In contrast, the Coop Home Goods Eden is classified as Medium Soft. This slight difference in firmness provides a balance of softness and support, which may better suit sleepers who want some lift without feeling too firm. If you prefer a cloud-like sensation, the JOLLYVOGUE is the clear choice. If you want a bit more structure while still feeling soft, the Eden is the better option.
Fill Material
The fill materials differ significantly between these two options. The JOLLYVOGUE pillow uses micro polyester fiber, a down alternative that creates a fluffy, cloud-like texture. It is designed to regain shape quickly and offers a traditional soft pillow feel. The Coop Home Goods Eden uses a blend of gel-infused memory foam and microfiber. This combination provides a distinct contouring feel that memory foam is known for, while the gel infusion helps with temperature regulation. Your choice depends on whether you prefer the bounciness of polyester fiber or the molding support of memory foam.
Adjustability
Adjustability is a major point of divergence. The Coop Home Goods Eden features a unique adjustable design that allows you to access and remove or add memory foam fill. This lets you customize the loft and firmness to suit your specific size, shape, or sleep position. A bonus extra bag of fill is included to help you achieve your desired height. The JOLLYVOGUE pillow does not offer this level of customization. You receive a fixed fill of micro polyester fiber, which you can fluff but cannot remove to change the internal structure or loft.
Safety Certifications
Both brands prioritize safety, but they use different certification standards. The JOLLYVOGUE pillow is produced in a factory certified under the OEKO-TEX Standard, ensuring the textiles comply with high safety and environmental criteria. The Coop Home Goods Eden holds two certifications: CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold. These indicate that the foam components are tested for harmful emissions and content. The Eden’s dual certification provides an additional layer of assurance regarding chemical safety and air quality, which may be important for sensitive users or those concerned about off-gassing from foam materials.
Pillow Dimensions
While both are labeled as Queen size, the actual dimensions vary. The JOLLYVOGUE pillow measures 20 x 30 inches, which is a standard Queen dimension. The Coop Home Goods Eden measures 20 x 26 inches. This difference in length means the Eden is slightly shorter. The height also varies, with the JOLLYVOGUE listed at 2 inches in its base specs, while the Eden’s height is adjustable due to its removable fill feature. If you require a longer pillow surface for side sleeping, the JOLLYVOGUE’s 30-inch length may provide more coverage than the Eden’s 26-inch length.
Choose Your Ideal Soft Pillow
Adjustable fill seekers
The Coop Home Goods Eden offers removable fill, letting you customize loft and support. Its gel-infused memory foam and microfiber blend provide cooling breathability. With CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold certifications, it ensures safety. This adjustability helps side and back sleepers find their perfect height without buying a new pillow.
Budget-conscious soft pillow buyers
The JOLLYVOGUE pillow delivers a plush, sink-in feel with micro polyester fiber fill. It is OEKO-TEX Standard certified for safety. The soft firmness suits stomach and side sleepers. It is machine washable and comes in a set of two. This option provides gentle cushioning and high loft for a comfortable, affordable sleep surface.
Cooling technology enthusiasts
The Coop Home Goods Eden features gel-infused memory foam designed to prevent heat buildup. Its gusseted edge ensures consistent support. The Lulltra cover, a blend of polyester and rayon, adds breathability. This combination of active cooling materials and airflow-promoting design makes it a strong choice for sleepers who tend to overheat at night.

Frequently asked questions
Is a soft pillow better for stomach sleepers?
Yes, soft pillows are often better for stomach sleepers. The JOLLYVOGUE Queen Soft Down Alternative Pillow is explicitly designed for this group. Its low two-inch height prevents neck strain. This gentle cushioning allows your head to sink slightly without forcing your spine out of alignment.
What is the difference between soft and medium soft firmness?
Soft pillows offer a plush, sink-in feel with minimal resistance. Medium soft pillows provide slightly more support while remaining gentle. The Coop Home Goods Eden is medium soft, offering adjustable loft. This allows you to add or remove fill for customized support, unlike the fixed soft JOLLYVOGUE option.
Do soft pillows keep you cool?
Both listed options feature cooling technologies. The JOLLYVOGUE pillow uses a down alternative fill that breathes well. The Coop Home Goods Eden includes gel-infused memory foam and a cooling cover. These features help dissipate heat, keeping your head comfortable throughout the night regardless of the firmness level.
Are these pillows safe for sensitive skin?

The JOLLYVOGUE pillow also mentions certified safety. These standards mean you can trust the materials used in the fills and covers for nightly contact.
Can I adjust the loft of a medium soft pillow?
Yes, the Coop Home Goods Eden allows for adjustable loft. It contains removable fill, letting you customize the height and support level. This flexibility helps side sleepers find the right elevation. In contrast, the JOLLYVOGUE soft pillow has a fixed two-inch height and cannot be adjusted.
Which pillow is better for side sleepers?
