Who it fits

Sivio Weighted Blanket Key Specs

Blanket Weight: 15 lbs

This listing specifies a fixed weight of 15 pounds for the twin-size model. You should choose this weight if your body mass aligns with the recommended guideline of 10% of your body weight plus one pound. Heavier options are available in other sizes, but you must match the weight to your body size for effective deep pressure stimulation without feeling restricted or unsupported during sleep.

Dimensions: 48 x 72 inches

These dimensions define the twin-size footprint, measuring 48 inches wide and 72 inches long. This size is designed to cover a standard twin bed or a single adult comfortably. If you prefer a larger coverage area, you can select from other size options like 60 x 80 inches. Ensure your bed frame accommodates these specific measurements for proper fit and drape.

Outer Material: Sherpa fleece, flannel

The exterior combines Sherpa fleece and flannel fabrics for a soft, skin-friendly touch. This dual-material construction aims to provide warmth and comfort, making it suitable for cooler evenings or air-conditioned rooms. The listing notes these materials are fade-resistant and smudge-proof, which may simplify maintenance compared to traditional cotton blankets. You get a plush texture that enhances the relaxing experience of deep pressure.

Fill Material: Ceramic beads

The blanket uses non-toxic ceramic beads as its filling material, distributed evenly across the surface. These beads provide the necessary weight for deep pressure stimulation without adding excessive bulk. The listing highlights a seven-layer beads-locking design to keep the fill secure and prevent leakage or shifting. This construction helps maintain consistent pressure distribution as you move during sleep.

Layer Count: 7-layer

This specification refers to the seven-layer construction designed to lock the ceramic beads securely in place. This multi-layer approach aims to prevent the filling from clumping or leaking, ensuring even weight distribution. It also contributes to the structural integrity of the blanket, helping it resist deformation over time. You benefit from a more durable product that maintains its shape and pressure effectiveness through regular use.

Sivio Blanket Design and Build

According to the listing, the Sivio Sherpa Weighted Blanket uses a dual-material exterior. The top layer is Sherpa fleece, while the reverse side is flannel. Both sides share the same color, creating a uniform look. You can choose from Navy Blue, Grey, Black, Purple, or Pink. The twin-size model you are reviewing measures 48 by 72 inches. This size fits standard twin beds. Larger options exist for full or queen beds, but you must select the correct dimensions for your frame.

Inside the fabric, the blanket contains nontoxic ceramic beads. The listing describes a seven-layer beads-locking design. This construction aims to keep the fill material secure and evenly distributed. You will not feel hard lumps shifting under your body. The seven layers also help prevent noise when you move. The ceramic fill provides the specified 15 lbs of weight. This weight is intended to offer deep pressure stimulation for adults.

The outer materials are described as fade-resistant and smudge-proof. The listing states the fabric is safe from pilling and deformation. You can machine wash the blanket in a commercial washer. This makes cleaning easier than with many cotton alternatives. The design prioritizes durability and consistent weight distribution. You get a quiet, soft surface that retains its shape over time. The build supports nightly use or occasional outdoor camping trips.

Setup And Daily Use Guide

This weighted blanket requires no assembly or technical setup. You simply remove it from its packaging and place it on your bed or seating area. The twin size measures 48 by 72 inches, which fits standard twin mattresses. You can also use it on other surfaces, such as a couch or camping gear, as the listing notes it works for both indoor and outdoor use. The fabric consists of Sherpa fleece on one side and flannel on the other. Both sides share the same color, so you can flip it for different textures without changing the look. Cleaning is straightforward. The listing states the material is fade-resistant and smudge-proof. You can spot clean it or use a commercial washer. The seven-layer bead-locking design keeps the ceramic beads secure in their compartments. This prevents leakage or shifting noise when you move during sleep. The fill is nontoxic and environmental. You should ensure the blanket weight matches your body mass. The recommended guideline is 10% of your body weight plus one pound. For the 15-pound model, this suggests a specific user weight range. If you need a different weight, the brand offers other sizes like 20 or 25 pounds. The blanket is designed for adults. It provides deep pressure stimulation through its proper weight distribution. The secure bead locking ensures even pressure across the surface. You do not need any apps, remotes, or power sources. It is a passive bedding item that works immediately after you place it on your sleeping surface.

Before You Buy This Blanket

You need to verify that your body weight aligns with the recommended guideline of 10% of your body weight plus one pound. At 15 pounds, this twin-size blanket suits lighter adults. If you weigh significantly more, the pressure may feel insufficient. You should also check your bed dimensions. The 48 by 72 inches size fits standard twin mattresses but may hang off larger beds. Consider your cleaning habits. The listing states you can machine wash it, but you must ensure your washer can handle the bulk. Spot cleaning is an alternative. This Sherpa fleece option sits alongside cotton and glass bead models in our guide. It offers a plush feel but requires careful washing to maintain its texture. You should compare it with lighter options if you sleep hot, as the dual-layer fabric may retain more heat than thinner alternatives.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your weight matches the 10% plus 1lb guideline.
• Check that your twin bed fits the 48x72 inch dimensions.
• Ensure your washing machine can handle the 15-pound bulk.
• Decide if you prefer the plush Sherpa fleece texture.
• Verify color options match your bedroom decor preferences.
